Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange build led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, heavily themed around the world and characters of Final Fantasy X. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using efficient ramp like Incubation Druid and Farseek, then curves into early counter enablers such as Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte and Hardened Scales. Deploying Tidus on Turn 3 or 4 establishes a steady engine of combat counter manipulation, card draw, and proliferation. The deck transitions into lethal combat pressure on Turn 6 by pairing tall, wide boards with combat multipliers like Chocobo Knights, Wakka, Devoted Guardian, Sphere Grid, or Sin, Unending Cataclysm. Defensive tools such as Inspiring Call, Protection Magic, and Resourceful Defense protect counter equity against opposing disruption, while asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict clear opposing blockers to secure consecutive combat eliminations.
