Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Equipment and Vehicle strategy led by Astor, Bearer of Blades. Astor acts as both a tutor on entry and a mana engine, reducing all equip costs to {1} and all crew costs to 1. The deck uses early artifact tutoring from Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Fighter Class to quickly find high-impact armaments like Colossus Hammer, Parhelion II, and Argentum Armor. Pairing these tools with double-striking threats like Swiftblade Vindicator creates massive combat pressure starting on Turn 5. The deck sustains resources through card-draw engines including Sram, Senior Edificer, Puresteel Paladin, and Akiri, Fearless Voyager. A versatile Sunforger package allows the deck to tutor protection spells like Boros Charm and Dawn's Truce or removal like Chaos Warp at instant speed. Extra combat steps from Karlach, Fury of Avernus and myriad triggers from Duke Ulder Ravengard help close the game quickly.
