Deck overview

This Selesnya Lifegain deck is helmed by Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn, who converts every life-gain event into a burst of +1/+1 counters spread across the team. The strategy combines a dense tribal subtheme of Pegasi, Unicorns, and Horses with incremental lifegain triggers to steadily grow the board while generating card advantage via Well of Lost Dreams and Archon of Sun's Grace. The primary win condition is combat through a wide, evasive, increasingly large creature base, with Storm Herd as a late-game finisher and Chalice of Life // Chalice of Death as a slower alternate. The deck operates at a methodical pace, gaining life through numerous sources (lifelink creatures, instant-speed life gain, and ETB triggers) and using that life to fuel card draw and counter placement. Its mana doubling subtheme (Heartbeat of Spring, Vernal Bloom) can accelerate into big plays, but the deck lacks fast combos or explosive tutors, making it a classic "fair" battlecruiser that aims to outvalue opponents over the long game.
