Mothman budget by TheRedMoonInn

Format: Commander

Commander: The Wise Mothman

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck pilots The Wise Mothman as a +1/+1 counter and proliferate engine, turning rad counters into a mill-driven snowball. The commander's ETB and attack trigger hand out rad counters to each opponent, and whenever any nonland card is milled (by rad counters or other effects), the deck puts a +1/+1 counter on each of up to X target creatures. The 99 is packed with proliferate spells (Inexorable Tide, Flux Channeler, Thrummingbird, Contagion Clasp, etc.) and counter doublers (Corpsejack Menace, Kami of Whispered Hops, Cursed Wombat, Winding Constrictor) to accelerate both rad counters and creature sizes. Secondary win conditions include Simic Ascendancy (20 growth counters), infect via Corrupted Conscience or Phyresis on a large beater, or simply overwhelming combat damage. The deck is a gradual, value-oriented build that wins through incremental board presence once the counter engine gets rolling.
