Grist, the Hunger Tide leads a Golgari graveyard-matters deck that combines self-mill, cheap ramp, and reanimation to assemble an overwhelming board and finish the table. The primary plan is to use Grist's +1 to mill five cards each turn, growing the graveyard and producing Insect tokens, while secondary attackers like Hogaak, Barrowgoyf, and Wight of the Reliquary scale with that same resource. Removal, discard, and graveyard hate keep opponents from interacting while the deck recurs threats with Unearth, Chthonian Nightmare, and Emperor of Bones. The deck ultimately kills through combat damage or a terminal Grist -5, which mirrors the graveyard's creature count. With 44 lands and abundant one-mana dorks, the deck consistently reaches its early curve, though it remains heavily reliant on its graveyard.
