Deck overview

Mica, Reader of Ruins helms a mono-red artifact spellslinger deck that converts cheap artifacts and cantrips into duplicated value, explosive velocity, and combo finishes. The deck uses an extensive package of cheap artifacts—such as Ichor Wellspring, Chromatic Star, and artifact tokens—as sacrifice fodder for Mica's spell-copying ability. This setup supercharges card filtering, generating tremendous velocity through doubled draw spells like Demand Answers and Cathartic Reunion. Mana acceleration from Mana Vault, Sol Ring, and Jeska's Will sets up high-tempo turns early in the game. The deck's primary kill condition is the compact Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame combo, which creates infinite hasty attackers to end the table in a single turn. Backup lines leverage Underworld Breach and Mizzix's Mastery to loop burn and token generation. The deck excels at resource churn and burst speed but possesses limited stack interaction and plan shielding outside of Red Elemental Blast.
