Deck overview

This exhibition Commander deck pairs Codie, Ravenous Codex with the companion Umori, the Collector under an all-creature deckbuilding restriction. It circumvents the typical spellslinger limitation by running modal prepared creatures whose back halves function as classic instant and sorcery spells. Codie copies these prepared spells when cast, generating extreme card flow and mana velocity through engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Kykar, Wind's Fury, and Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall. The deck assembles its core on turn 4 and aims for a decisive turn 5 storm kill via a duplicated Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate or a massive token army. While explosive in card advantage and mana generation, the deck suffers from thin stack interaction and vulnerability to creature removal due to its strict creature-only construction.
