Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-black Voltron and infect aggro list built around Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. Its primary objective is accelerating mana through efficient artifacts, mana dorks, and rituals like Dark Ritual and Sol Ring to cast Skithiryx ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once deployed, the deck leverages haste, built-in flying, and potent equipment such as Commander's Plate, Doc Ock's Tentacles, and Whispersilk Cloak to eliminate opponents sequentially via 10 poison counters. Supporting proliferate engines including Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Throne of Geth accelerate the clock by ticking up poison counters independently of combat. Mono-black interaction features efficient creature removal in Fatal Push, Dismember, and Damnation, along with Imp's Mischief for stack protection. While highly lethal in focused 1-on-1 trades, the deck suffers from the inherent pacing limits of sequential combat elimination across three opponents and complete vulnerability to noncreature artifacts and enchantments.
