Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Treasure Burn strategy centered on Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug provides an indestructible 8/7 flying body with haste that creates Treasure tokens equal to any noncombat damage dealt to it. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks, rituals, and Treasure spells to cast Smaug on Turn 5. Once on the battlefield, the deck targets Smaug with noncombat damage spells such as Cut Propulsion, Self-Destruct, Blasphemous Act, or Pyrohemia. Because Smaug is indestructible, it survives these effects and generates massive bursts of 8 to 16 Treasure tokens. These tokens trigger artifact-entry pingers like Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist, while sacrifice drainers like Marionette Apprentice and Nadier's Nightblade finish off remaining life totals. The resulting mana also fuels lethal finishers like Torment of Hailfire and Crackle with Power, closing games on Turn 6.
