Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Orzhov Midrange build led by Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness. The strategy centers on deploying low-cost legendary creatures and compounding their stats with Ardbert's dual-trigger ability: casting white spells grants vigilance and counters, while black spells grant menace and counters (with multicolored Orzhov spells granting both). The deck complements this aggro core with high-impact legendary hatebears like Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Drana and Linvala, and Kunoros, Hound of Athreos, which slow down opposing game plans while your army develops. A robust suite of spot removal and asymmetric legendary payoffs such as Flowering of the White Tree and Urza's Ruinous Blast keep the path clear. Protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Boromir, Warden of the Tower defend your board against sweepers, allowing the deck to close games through overwhelming, evasive combat damage.
