Deck overview

This mono-red Commander deck is a Dragon tribal midrange strategy commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The deck focuses on ramping into cost-reduction permanents such as Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to cast large, evasive flying Dragons ahead of curve. Once Lathliss enters the battlefield, every subsequent nontoken Dragon creates a 5/5 Dragon token, doubling the deck's board presence with each cast. The deck closes games through massive aerial combat damage, direct damage triggers from Scourge of Valkas and Dragon Tempest, and exponential swarm engines like Utvara Hellkite. Removal is primarily damage-based with efficient sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction to reset ground stalemates. While the deck boasts high redundancy and potent standalone threats, it remains vulnerable to board wipes and targeted spot removal due to light stack interaction and minimal protection spells.
