Big God Guy by Natey2011

Format: Commander

Commander: Xenagos, God of Revels

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Gruul stompy build helmed by Xenagos, God of Revels. The plan is to ramp early, cast high-power trampling threats, then use Xenagos's beginning-of-combat trigger to double a creature's power and give it haste. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins through overwhelming combat damage, with Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Quartzwood Crasher, Aggressive Mammoth, and Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma leading the charge. Card draw comes from power-based engines like Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, and Greater Good, while fight spells and ETB fights clear blockers. Soul's Fire and Psychosis Crawler offer non-combat reach. The commander is a force multiplier rather than a required engine, so the 99 still functions if Xenagos is answered, but the deck loses most of its explosiveness.
