Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar, combining token swarm, blink mechanics, and aristocrat drain engines. Syr Vondam grows larger and gains life whenever your other creatures die or enter exile, which synergizes directly with myriad tokens and end-of-combat sacrifice triggers. The primary strategy deploys low-cost token generators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Ainok Strike Leader, and Voice of Victory to flood the board. As temporary tokens perish or exile, Syr Vondam rapidly scales into a menacing commander damage threat while drain engines like Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and Starscape Cleric bleed opposing life totals. The deck backs up its pressure with versatile board sweepers like Damn and Farewell, along with protective tools like Voice of Victory to prevent interference during your combat turns.
