Deck overview

This Grixis deck is an aggressive wheel and discard punishment strategy helmed by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. The primary game plan accelerates into play one or more continuous damage engines—such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, Underworld Dreams, or Orcish Bowmasters—before casting symmetrical wheel sorceries like Windfall, Dark Deal, and Wheel of Misfortune. Each wheel deals massive bursts of noncombat damage across the table while stripping opposing players of sculpted hands. Secondary engines like Waste Not convert opponent discards into huge bursts of black mana, zombie tokens, and card draw, fueling explosive chained turns. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game burst potential and resilient reanimation options via Reanimate and Breach the Multiverse, it relies heavily on sorcery-speed execution and tap-out turns, leaving windows for interaction and fast aggro.
