Deck overview

This deck leverages Doctor Doom, King of Latveria as the hub of a synergistic Grixis Villain strategy centered on the connive mechanic and land-discard triggers. By playing early Villain creatures and curve-topping threats, the deck consistently triggers connive to loot through the library, grow its board with +1/+1 counters, and trigger Doctor Doom's direct life-drain ability whenever land cards are discarded. Artifact enablers like Containment Construct and Currency Converter turn looted cards into immediate board presence and mana acceleration. Midgame pieces such as Ultron, Unlimited, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and The Squadron Sinister scale the board into a fast, evasive aerial assault. The deck backs up this aggressive game plan with solid Grixis removal spells and tutors, allowing it to close games through a combination of relentless menace attacks and noncombat burn.
