Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. The primary game plan revolves around casting Kuja on Turn 4 to accumulate 0/1 Wizard tokens that deal damage to each opponent whenever noncreature spells are cast. Once four Wizards are assembled, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, doubling all Wizard damage with Flare Star. The deck capitalizes on an extensive suite of low-cost instant-speed removal, card draw, and combat tricks to control the board while rapidly draining all three opponents simultaneously. Auxiliary burn engines such as Black Waltz No. 3, Thor, God of Thunder, and Judith, Carnage Connoisseur provide redundant spell-based damage. While the deck possesses immense removal density and strong mid-game inevitability, it requires Kuja to remain on the battlefield across several turn cycles to transform, making careful timing of protection spells essential.
