Deck overview

This Selesnya deck is an aggressive, synergistic +1/+1 counters deck commanded by Sovereign Okinec Ahau. The game plan revolves around deploying efficient early creatures that enter with or generate counters, casting the commander on Turn 3 or 4, and utilizing Okinec's attack trigger to exponentially scale the power and toughness of all modified creatures. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by Turn 5 as power totals rapidly compound. To convert raw stats into a full table win by Turn 7, the list leverages overrun effects like Overrun, unblockable pressure via Bond of Discipline, and evasion grants like Drix Fatemaker and Training Regimen. Single-target hexproof and indestructible tricks defend key creatures against targeted removal, while fight-based removal clears opposing blockers.
