Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Orzhov midrange strategy centered on Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness and a dense density of low-cost legendary creatures. The game plan focuses on curving efficient legendary threats into play on turns 1 and 2, deploying Ardbert on turn 3, and chaining white, black, and multicolored historic spells to continuously grow the entire team with +1/+1 counters while granting menace and vigilance. This creates a wide, evasive combat board that attacks aggressively while keeping up stalwart blockers. Card flow is sustained through combat damage engines like Tymna the Weaver and Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor, while efficient exile removal and asymmetric sweepers like Urza's Ruinous Blast and Damning Verdict clear opposing obstacles without disturbing your own forces. The deck resists interaction through free protection spells and resilient death triggers.
