Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a dedicated Combo Aristocrats list helmed by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. It harnesses Chatterfang's token multiplication replacement effect to transform routine game objects—such as Treasures, Food, and Map tokens—into a lethal board of 1/1 Squirrels. Rather than relying on combat damage, the primary game plan accelerates into instant-speed, infinite sacrifice loops using Pitiless Plunderer or Warren Soultrader paired with aristocrat drain pieces like Blood Artist, Marionette Apprentice, and Zulaport Cutthroat to drain the entire table from 40 to 0 life in a single turn. A dense suite of one-mana accelerants and premier black and green tutors provides exceptional velocity and selection, reliably assembling game-winning states by Turn 4. The deck also features an independent secondary combo in Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog, ensuring lethal inevitability even if Chatterfang is suppressed. Protective spells like Veil of Summer and Heroic Intervention shield the closing combo turns from opposing disruption.
