Grully grul by Imrik

Format: Commander

Commander: Xenagos, God of Revels

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Gruul stompy build helmed by Xenagos, God of Revels, built around one simple loop: ramp hard, drop an enormous trampling threat, pump it with Xenagos's haste-and-power trigger, then chain extra combat steps to close the game in a single turn. The acceleration suite is deep - Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, Paradise Druid, Somberwald Sage, Gwenna, Eyes of Gaea, Sol Ring, and cost-reducers like Goblin Anarchomancer and Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma - feeding a curve of 6/6-to-12/12 beaters. Card flow comes from Beast Whisperer, Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, Up the Beanstalk, and Greater Good. The kill is usually combat damage from a Xenagos-pumped trampler multiplied by extra combats (Combat Celebrant, Port Razer, Scourge of the Throne, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, Full Throttle), with alternate routes in Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-control condition and Tyrranax Rex's poison. Fast and powerful, but light on tutors and stack interaction.
