Wan Shi Tong - In the Pursuit of Knowledge by hellgab

Format: Commander

Commander: Wan Shi Tong, Librarian

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue self-mill combo build helmed by Wan Shi Tong, Librarian. The primary game plan is to empty your own library using effects like Leveler, Thought Lash, or Tunnel Vision and then win with Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. The commander provides a burst of draw on entry and a steady trickle when opponents search, but the deck does not rely on it; the combo lives entirely in the 99. Secondary win conditions include Twenty-Toed Toad (20 cards in hand) and the occasional combat damage from Body of Knowledge. The deck packs a respectable suite of counterspells and removal to protect its combo turn, but it lacks robust tutoring, relying on cantrips and draw spells to dig for its pieces.
