Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Lifegain Midrange build commanded by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. It blends Angel tribal synergy, lifegain triggers, and group slug tax mechanics to grind down opponents. The deck opens by establishing early lifegain creatures like Soul Warden and Bishop of Wings before deploying Liesa on turn 5. Liesa immediately imposes a 2-life tax on every spell cast across the table while leveraging her 5/5 flying lifelink frame to recover life lost to her ability. The deck transitions into a lethal air force using stat boosters like Righteous Valkyrie and Lyra Dawnbringer alongside token producers like Resplendent Angel and Crested Sunmare. While the list features exceptional spot removal and strong tax effects, it relies on natural card draws and has limited protection against mass board wipes.
