Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Simic Big Mana and Sea Monster tribal list helmed by Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. The game plan uses early ramp to cast Arixmethes on Turn 3 as a resilient land that taps for two mana. Untapping with six or seven mana on Turn 4 allows the deck to deploy massive engines and game-dominating leviathans like Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, and Hullbreaker Horror. The deck protects its large threats using an efficient interaction package headlined by free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship. Once big creatures enter the battlefield, asymmetric bounce spells such as Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets clear opposing blockers, allowing lethal combat damage through evasion and Overwhelming Stampede by Turn 7.
