The Elvenking by Klutch

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a graveyard-elf combo commander: he borrows every activated ability from Elves in the graveyard, so the deck mills and discards its best Elf activators. The primary kill is Thranduil plus Deathbloom Ritualist and Devoted Druid, using Staff of Domination to create infinite mana and drawing into Exsanguinate to end the table; Lathril's life-loss ability is a secondary finish. Elfball combat with lords, tokens, and Cover of Darkness provides a fallback. The commander's looting trigger turns every legendary Elf cast into card selection. The hidden engine pair is Deathbloom Ritualist and Devoted Druid, the two cards that convert the graveyard into mana and untaps.
