Deck overview

This is a Doctor Doom, King of Latveria Villain deck built around discarding lands and nonlands for different rewards. The ordinary engine is Black Market Connections plus the commander: the enchantment supplies an extra card each turn, while the commander turns connive discards into counters or table-wide life loss. Other engines, including Bone Miser, Monument to Endurance, Leader, Super-Genius, and Ultron, Unlimited, increase the value of repeated discards. Glorious Purpose can convert six connive triggers into up to four free spells, and Anger can give a developed board haste. The deck has useful removal and several commander-dependent free interaction spells, but its setup is mostly four mana or more and its finish relies on combat, variable discard, and assembling several permanents. It generates strong casual value, yet it lacks a compact deterministic win or sustained lock. Its primary pressure is a wide, hasty Villain board around turn 8 or later.
