Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger aggro-burn strategy helmed by Eris, Roar of the Storm. The game plan revolves around rapidly stocking the graveyard with instant and sorcery cards across diverse mana values to reduce Eris's casting cost to as low as two mana. Once Eris enters the battlefield, chaining two spells each turn creates 4/4 flying Dragon Elemental tokens with prowess. Secondary engines such as Veyran, Voice of Duality, Archmage Emeritus, and Ashling, Flame Dancer compound mana and card advantage, while Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Aria of Flame convert spell velocity into direct burn damage. An efficient package of free and low-cost countermagic defends the engine against board wipes and removal. The deck converts spell casts into an overwhelming aerial army and burst noncombat damage, closing out games within one turn cycle of deployment.
