Don’t be Skittish by Smiggy

Format: Commander

Commander: Helga, Skittish Seer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helga, Skittish Seer is a Bant counter-matters engine deck. Its primary plan is to ramp into Helga on turn 3, then chain 4+ mana creatures while Helga's activated ability covers the mana and her trigger draws cards. The counter package-Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Kalonian Hydra, and Zimone-makes those creatures quickly enormous; Abzan Falconer, Herald of Secret Streams, and Akroma's Will turn them into unblockable or double-striking lethal attackers. A secondary combo line pairs Body of Research with Simic Ascendancy to win on upkeep, and Walking Ballista can act as a mana-dump finisher. There is no hidden commander; Helga is the central engine and the deck's speed comes from her power-based mana.
