Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Aristocrats and Reanimator engine built around Avacyn, Angel of Horror. The deck focuses on controlling the board through continuous edict effects like Accursed Marauder and Fleshbag Marauder, turning creature deaths into rapid card advantage via Grim Haruspex and Midnight Reaper. Accelerated by big mana engines such as Cabal Coffers, Ashnod's Altar, and Warren Soultrader, the deck works toward deploying Avacyn or massive attrition pieces like Grave Pact. Once Avacyn is established on the battlefield, any nontoken creature sacrificed during each turn returns at the beginning of the next end step. This creates an oppressive loop of continuous board wipes, life drain from Kokusho, the Evening Star and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and card draw that quickly grinds down all three opponents to zero life by Turn 8.
