Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai midrange and combo deck commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary, focusing on scalable {X} spells, +1/+1 counters, and Hydra tribal synergy. The game plan centers on ramping into Zaxara by Turn 3 or 4, leveraging its mana ability and token generation to create a dominating board of massive Hydra creatures. Force multipliers like Unbound Flourishing, Garruk's Uprising, and Herald of Secret Streams grant trample and unblockability to overwhelm the table in combat. In addition to combat damage, the deck features a compact infinite mana combo with Freed from the Real and Pemmin's Aura, enabling instant-speed table kills through game-ending X spells such as Torment of Hailfire, Villainous Wealth, and Blue Sun's Zenith. Supported by flexible interaction and scalable card draw, the deck transitions smoothly from steady board development into explosive, decisive win states.
