Lorehold the historian by user4253385

Format: Commander

Commander: Lorehold, the Historian

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Boros spellslinger-tempo deck built around Lorehold, the Historian's two gifts: miracle on every instant/sorcery in hand, and a repeatable rumble at each opponent's upkeep. The deck plays a slow "build-up then erupt" game: develop mana rocks, cast Lorehold early for its haste body and upkeep draw, fill the graveyard with cheap spells, then convert accumulated treasures and discards into huge multi-spell turns with Mizzix's Mastery, Invoke Calamity, Apex of Power, or Dance with Decorum. The finishers are equally grand: Insurrection overrun, Approach of the Second Sunset (made dramatically cheaper by miracle), or Storm Herd in combination with life-doubling Beacon of Immortality. It also packs symmetric land destruction like Armageddon and From the Ashes to close the door after a treasure-burst. Quick note: the commander's "discard a card, then draw a card" ability turns every opponent's upkeep into a free chance to set up a miracle trigger - making early-game discard spells and the Library of the Leng specially valuable.
