Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, using her symmetrical draw-taxing and life-gaining abilities to control the pace of the table while generating a massive life buffer. The strategy pairs Sheoldred with card-draw engines like Greed and Black Market Connections to dig into explosive big-mana enablers such as Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Dark Ritual. The deck transitions rapidly from midgame board control into sudden game-ending finishes. Its primary lethal lines revolve around resolving Peer into the Abyss to draw half the library while gaining insurmountable life, or assembling an infinite drain loop using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror alongside Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest. Disruptive hate pieces like Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters punish opposing game plans while board wipes protect against aggressive swarms until the combo is ready.
