Deck overview

This mono-red aggro deck leverages Jiang Yanggu, Alone alongside rummaging engines and attack triggers to build tall threats and burn opponents. The game plan focuses on deploying early ramp to cast the five-mana commander by turn four, then attacking alone on turn five to loot and grow attackers with +1/+1 counters. Synergistic payoffs such as Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Magmakin Artillerist, and Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute convert discards into direct table-wide damage. Additional combat steps from Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Combat Celebrant, and Port Razer multiply both attack triggers and damage output. While the deck churns through cards quickly with wheel effects like Reforge the Soul and Change of Fortune, it operates with very little reactive interaction or board protection, making it vulnerable to well-timed removal and sweepers.
