Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Mono-Green Stompy build centered around Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The primary game plan focuses on deploying efficient, over-statted low-mana creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus ahead of curve using early mana dorks. Once 10 to 12 power is established on board, Ghalta, Primal Hunger is cast for its minimum cost of {G}{G}, presenting a massive 12/12 trampling threat as early as Turn 4. The deck converts high creature power into overwhelming card velocity through engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. The victory condition relies on relentless combat pressure, scaled to lethal table-wide damage via Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Finale of Devastation. While the deck excels at rapid mana velocity and robust board presence, it relies heavily on creature combat, making it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and targeted removal when defensive spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping are unavailable.
