Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos group-slug strategy helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The central engine relies on inflicting incremental life loss on each opponent during their own turns, converting those triggers into continuous card draw and +1/+1 counters on Valgavoth. Accelerated by low-cost mana rocks and rituals, the deck deploys its commander on Turn 3 or 4 alongside passive damage sources such as Citadel of Pain, Mogis, God of Slaughter, and Aether Sting. As the game progresses, it restricts opponents' timing windows using Price of Glory while scaling damage output dramatically with multipliers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Twinflame Tyrant, and Fiery Emancipation. Without relying on infinite combos, the deck achieves victory around Turn 8 by grinding down opposing life totals through compounding burn triggers and lethal flying commander combat.
