Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black discard control and attrition strategy commanded by Tinybones, Bauble Burglar. The primary plan accelerates into early discard spells that strip opposing hands while exiling those cards with stash counters. The commander breaks the symmetry of resource denial by allowing you to cast your opponents stolen spells using any color of mana. Synergistic engines like Waste Not and Tergrid, God of Fright convert opposing discards into mana, creature tokens, and permanent theft. Opponents are systematically locked out of the game using continuous tax effects such as Oppression, Painful Quandary, and the draw-denial lock of Mornsong Aria. Once hands are empty, life-drain enchantments like Shrieking Affliction and Quest for the Nihil Stone whittle down life totals before a massive Torment of Hailfire or Gray Merchant of Asphodel closes the game on turn 7.
