Commander: Miss Highwater

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black "contract" Demon deck. It ramps into a heavy, evasive Demon board while Miss Highwater attacks to offer opponents a seven-card draw in exchange for a contract counter; that windfall feeds Waste Not and Orcish Bowmasters. The primary finish is Liliana's Contract, which wins at upkeep with four differently named Demons, and the tutor suite is deep enough to assemble it reliably. Backup wins include the Vorpal Sword one-shot kill, life-loss amplification from Wound Reflection, Archfiend of Despair, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz, plus mass reanimation via Bloodline Bidding and Patriarch's Bidding. The commander is a value engine, not the engine: the 99 contains all of the tutors, threats, and win conditions, so the deck can function at high capacity even if Miss Highwater is answered repeatedly.
