This deck is a Sultai counters and clone-sabotage deck led by Volrath, the Shapestealer. The strategy focuses on accelerating mana in the opening turns to deploy low-cost creatures with powerful evasion or combat-damage triggers, such as Blighted Agent, Cephalid Constable, and Cold-Eyed Selkie. Once Volrath, the Shapestealer enters the battlefield on Turn 4, his combat ability places a -1/-1 counter on an opposing creature or an evasive ally. For just one mana, Volrath becomes a massive 7/5 copy of that creature while retaining his shapeshifting ability. This turns unblockable infect into a rapid two-hit clock, transforms sabotage triggers into massive seven-card draws, or bounces seven opposing permanents in a single swing.
