Deck overview

This mono-blue deck leverages Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel as a premier mana-cheating engine. The primary plan is to deploy Malcolm on Turn 2, ensure unblockable combat connections, and rapidly stack chorus counters using proliferate effects and double strike equipment. Upon reaching four chorus counters on Turn 5, Malcolm's combat damage trigger allows the pilot to discard and freely cast massive game-ending spells such as Omniscience, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Void Winnower, and giant Eldrazi titans. These threats lock opponents out of resources and cast triggers, allowing the deck to close the game through overwhelming combat damage and extra turns. The deck protects its vulnerable commander with cheap counterspells, shroud equipment, and redirection creatures like Spellskite. While reliant on Malcolm to bypass high mana costs, alternate cheat tools like The Key to the Vault provide secondary routes to deploy game-winning bombs.
