Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue landfall control and combo engine led by Gandalf, Shadow's Foe. It leverages a heavy land count, creature-based land droppers like Walking Atlas, and equipment like Sword of the Animist to reach seven mana on Turn 6. Gandalf provides immediate value by blinking three lands on entry, drawing three cards, and growing his power. The deck converts high-volume card draw into game-ending board states through creature theft via Roil Elemental, kraken generation via Ominous Seas, or infinite landfall loops with Deadeye Navigator, Amulet of Vigor, and Altar of the Brood. Cheap countermagic and hexproof equipment protect the commander while landfall tap triggers control opposing combat. The strategy finishes on Turn 8 by milling opponents or executing unblockable combat damage.
