Deck overview

This Abzan deck features Betor, Ancestor's Voice at the helm, blending life manipulation, reanimation, and a novelty collection of alternate win conditions. The deck aims to leverage life gain to grow creatures while using life loss from lands and utility spells to trigger Betor's end-step reanimation. Its primary line seeks to deploy Felidar Sovereign or Test of Endurance while maintaining a healthy life total, closing out the game on the following upkeep. Secondary paths include hardcasting Approach of the Second Sun, filling the graveyard for Mortal Combat, assembling Demons for Liliana's Contract, or reanimating large threats like Vilis, Broker of Blood and Valgavoth, Terror Eater. The deck offers resilient card flow and versatile board removal, but its reliance on natural draws and exposure to combat damage make timing critical.
