Commander: Golbez, Crystal Collector

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck helms Golbez, Crystal Collector as a value-oriented artifact-matters engine in UB. The primary game plan is to deploy a high density of artifacts - mana rocks, cost reducers, token generators, and large artifact creatures - to trigger Golbez's surveil on every artifact drop and then use his end-step recursion to recycle key creatures (often artifact creatures) while draining opponents. The deck wins through combat with massive artifact creatures (Kappa Cannoneer, Darksteel Juggernaut, Cyberdrive Awakener turning all tokens into 4/4 flyers), alternate win conditions like Mechanized Production (eight copies of an artifact) or Mirrodin Besieged (Phyrexian mode - fifteen artifacts in graveyard), and incremental drain from Syr Konrad, the Grim and Golbez himself. The mana curve is high (3.80 average MV), and the deck relies on artifact synergies rather than fast combo, aiming to out-value opponents over turns.
