Deck overview

This deck is a fast, low-to-the-ground Jeskai combo deck helmed by Massimo, the Magician, who offers incremental value by exiling low-cost instants and sorceries from the graveyard and letting creatures copy them on combat damage. The primary game plan, however, does not rely on the commander-it centres on assembling an infinite mana loop using Zirda, the Dawnwaker with either Basalt Monolith or Grim Monolith, then dumping that mana into Walking Ballista for an instant kill. The deck is packed with cheap rituals, fast mana, and a compact tutor suite to find the combo pieces reliably. The shadow creatures (Looter il-Kor, Soltari Foot Soldier, etc.) serve as secondary value engines that can exile and copy spells from the graveyard, but the main path to victory is the deterministic infinite mana combo. The deck also runs a robust layer of protection, free counterspells, and turn-hate effects like Silence and Grand Abolisher to shield its winning turn.
