Deck overview

This deck is a Temur spellslinger deck built around Iroh, Grand Lotus and the Lesson mechanic. Early turns focus on developing mana through land ramp and stocking the graveyard with cheap Lessons, cantrips, and loot effects. Once Iroh enters the battlefield on Turn 6, his static ability gives all Lesson cards in the graveyard flashback for just one generic mana. This lets the deck chain multiple spells each turn at negligible cost. These cheap graveyard casts trigger powerful payoffs like Toph, Hardheaded Teacher, which animates lands into massive hasty attackers, and Burning Vengeance, which burns opposing targets. Supported by cost reducers such as Uncle Iroh and Gran-Gran, the deck converts a full graveyard into card advantage, defensive hexproof tricks, and large combat swings that close out the game over two turn cycles.
