Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue combo-control strategy led by Orvar, the All-Form. Orvar transforms cheap single-target instants and sorceries into flexible clone spells. In the early game, the deck uses 1-mana targeting cantrips to duplicate basic Islands, accelerating mana production while maintaining hand size. Once the mana base is established, it transitions into explosive value engines using creatures like Archmage Emeritus, Mulldrifter, and Aether Channeler. The primary win condition revolves around pairing Orvar with a buyback spell like Whim of Volrath or Mind Games and an untap permanent such as Peregrine Drake or Coveted Jewel. This loop generates infinite mana, draws the entire deck, and finishes the game immediately with Laboratory Maniac or by bouncing all opposing permanents with Hullbreaker Horror. Highly efficient defensive spells like Shore Up and Mizzium Skin protect Orvar while simultaneously triggering additional token copies.
