BIG ASS ROOTHA by user1053381

Format: Commander

Commander: Rootha, Mastering the Moment

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spell-token build whose face commander, Rootha, Mastering the Moment, turns each precombat instant or sorcery into a scalable hasty flyer. The hidden commander, Rootha, Mercurial Artist in the 99, copies key spells and lets the deck double its biggest payoffs. The primary plan is to generate a token swarm with Talrand, Young Pyromancer, and similar engines, then convert that swarm into hasty copies of a large Rootha Elemental with Brudiclad and finish through combat, often with Surge to Victory and a high-mana-value spell from the graveyard. The deck can also close with copied burn from Expansion // Explosion or Rolling Thunder.
