Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Modified Midrange strategy commanded by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade. The game plan revolves around casting Chishiro on Turn 3 using efficient 1-2 CMC ramp, then deploying low-cost Equipment, Auras, and reconfigure creatures to trigger Chishiro's token generation. Each Aura and Equipment creates a 2/2 Spirit token with menace, while Chishiro's end-step ability places +1/+1 counters across the entire modified team. The deck scales into the midgame with powerful stat-boosters like Halana and Alena, Partners, Hardened Scales, and Forgotten Ancient, eventually closing the game via overwhelming combat damage with Overwhelming Stampede, Return of the Wildspeaker, or Akki Battle Squad. An infinite combat line is also possible by equipping Helm of the Host to Akki Battle Squad. While resilient in creature combat, the deck relies on combat steps and has limited stack interaction.
