Deck overview

This competitive Boros deck executes an explosive stax-aggro strategy commanded by Winota, Joiner of Forces. The primary game plan accelerates out cheap non-Human creatures on early turns using format-ceiling fast mana rocks and explosive utility lands. Casting Winota on Turn 2 or 3 enables immediate attack triggers that dig six cards deep per non-Human attacker, cheating powerful Human creatures directly onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The deck pairs asymmetric stax pieces such as Drannith Magistrate, Magus of the Moon, and Sanctum Prelate with lethal combat multipliers like Blade Historian and Angrath's Marauders. These pieces simultaneously lock out opposing combo lines and create overwhelming combat pressure. Supported by dense zero-to-one mana protection spells, Silence effects, and turn-lock creatures like Grand Abolisher, the deck reliably prevents opposing interaction during its critical combat turns and eliminates all three opponents by Turn 4.
