This Esper lifedrain control deck helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leverages a dense suite of noncreature spells to trigger both card draw and targeted damage. The primary game plan is to drain opponents incrementally through the commander's pings, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Sanguine Bond effects, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, while assembling the Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension infinite mill combo for a sudden kill. The deck also wins through Approach of the Second Sun or an X-spell like Exsanguinate.
