Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Boros Voltron strategy powered by the partner pairing of Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. Ardenn circumvents high equip costs by attaching any number of Equipment and Auras to a chosen creature for free at the beginning of combat. Kediss transforms traditional single-target Voltron pressure into a simultaneous table-wide threat by dealing equal damage to every other opponent whenever a commander deals combat damage. Supported by 6 dedicated equipment tutors such as Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift, the deck consistently establishes a lethal board state by Turn 4 with pieces like Colossus Hammer, Grafted Exoskeleton, or Inquisitor's Flail. A dense suite of 1-mana protection spells, including Blacksmith's Skill and Loran's Escape, shields the commanders during critical combat steps. While it lacks stax effects and non-creature interaction, its sheer speed, redundancy, and damage amplification allow it to close games rapidly.
