Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER by Fjord

Format: Commander

Commander: Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Naya (RGW) Equipment-Voltron strategy centered on Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER. The primary objective is to utilize Cloud s enters-the-battlefield ability to bypass equip costs for high-impact gear, specifically aiming to push his power to 7 or greater to trigger his Treasure generation and card draw. The deck leverages a unique "Bobblehead" subtheme to provide scaling utility and mana fixing while supporting the artifact density required for Metalcraft. Win conditions are primarily combat-driven, utilizing "Limit Break" style finishers like Vincent, Vengeful Atoner for AoE burn and Tifa, Martial Artist for extra combat phases. While it lacks infinite loops, it achieves inevitability through massive power buffs (e.g., Colossus Hammer, Wrecking Ball Arm) and modified-creature synergies provided by Sephiroth, Fallen Hero and Red XIII, Proud Warrior.
